The crowd, unhappy to hear this bellowed, "Universal happiness keeps the wheels steadily turning; truth and beauty can’t."
Sometimes people don't want to hear the truth because they don't want their illusions destroyed. Now I will go into the mountains. There I will have the enjoyment of my spirit and my solitude.
A person only hears what they understand. They are mistrustful of me and do not believe what I have come to give. My steps ring too lonely through their streets. Only in the wilderness will my lonely footsteps be silent.
