Discard with the teachings of the church and instead create a new meaning of the earth; one that embrace’s the individual’s desire to actualize and assert himself, and promotes the development of a strong body in which the natural instincts are seen as sources of energy to be channeled and sublimated for the sake of self-overcoming. This new meaning, to be the Superman. Man is a rope, fastened between animal and Superman - a rope over an abyss. A dangerous going-across, a dangerous wayfaring, a dangerous looking-back, a dangerous shuddering and staying still. What is great in man is that he is a bridge and not a goal; what can be loved in man is that he is a going-across and a down-going. The Superman is one who constantly experiences, sees, hears, suspects, hopes, and dreams extraordinary things. Who is struck by his own thoughts as if they came from the outside as a species of events and lightning flashes peculiar to him, who is perhaps himself a storm pregnant with new lightnings. A philosopher: alas, a being who often is afraid of himself - but whose curiosity always makes him come to himself. I am a heavy drop from the cloud, But the lightning is the Superman! Lacking these elevating values and ideals, modern individuals will be led to drastically underestimate their own potential for greatness. In doing so, they incapacitate the heroic impulse to will ambitious goals and eradicate the “desires that create clefts” which differentiate the higher type of human beings from the lower. Consequently, a type of individual occurs called “the last man”.

(I wonder how the public will react?) (What shall they say?)
