Firstly, I increased taxes on the rich to redistribute wealth to those who are in the greatest need of it. However, the more one considers the matter, the clearer it becomes that the redistribution is in effect far less a redistribution of free income from the richer to the poorer, as the people imagine, than a redistribution of power from the individual to the State. These poorer people have become even more dependent on the State than before, while also limiting the heights of wealth and power one can attain.

I then sought to destroy any intermediary powers outside the State, such as the family. Under the guise of liberating sons, daughters and wives from the family father being the only member of the family capable of interacting with the State and empowering their individuality we have decreased the importance of the role family plays in a person’s life. Now you are a citizen of the State first and a member of your family second.

Then with my loyal supporters that you placed in Congress for me that made up a majority and would agree with all my decisions, and the judges I quietly appointed in the courts, I waived the law restricting my rule to two terms. I avoided causing public outrage by making it clear I could only remain in office so long as I was voted there by the public, but my next move would provide the solution to any eventuality of not being reinstated.

Finally, I outlawed big tech companies like Apple and Samsung, because of their inflated prices and abuse of employees. Citizens believe this frees them of guilt for supporting bad companies, supports jobs for their fellow citizens and it will all be available at a fair price. In reality this makes the population more reliant on the State and strengthens its power. The fact these devices are only compatible with fellow State devices encouraged more people on other brands to buy them. Through State devices I became the first entity to possess the data of an entire citizenry in one place. This allowed my associates to have a firmer grip on what the entire population consumed and saw on the internet, each member of society getting their own personalised feed to instil in them complete support in the government and the benefits of what it was accomplishing, while also planting seeds of fear and doubt to life under any rule but my own.

What do you think of this power I have attained? Am I not like a great king? How do you feel about my absolute authority?
